Where are we staying?

We've rented a unit in a house near Lafayette Square in the central business district (CBD). I will provide the address closer to the date. You can see the place in the "Travel" section of this site.

What is the set up of the house?

The unit is a 4 bedroom 3 bathroom place. All the rooms have king size beds and two rooms have one additional twin or full beds. Yes, that means you may have to share a room. The house has a pool that is shared with the other units in the space but the pool can be accessed directly from our unit. It is a 10 minute/half mile walk to the French Quarter, 2 blocks from Magazine street, 1 block from the St. Charles street car, and near to some cafes, restaurants and grocery stores. A link to the house can be found in the "Travel" section.

What are the house rules?

No smoking inside or at the pool Pool hours are 9AM-10PM Don't rearrange the furniture Don't steal anyone's sleeping area

Do I have to stay at the house?

No! If you would like to arrange your own accommodation feel free! The JW Marriot on Canal is a great spot not too far away and there are plenty of other hotels and rentals nearby to the house.

I can't come the whole time, is it ok if I join for part of it?

Yes! Just let us know when you will be joining in!

I want to go off and do my own thing, can I?

Of course! Planned group events are listed on our home page-we hope you at least join us at those but there will be plenty of downtime to explore through the days and nights. RSVP to the group events you plan to attend by June 30 so I can confirm the appropriate reservations.

What should I pack?

Its probably going to be hot and humid so light breathable clothing is your friend. Be sure to pack a swim suit or two, a nice outfit for brunch and dinner, and shoes you can walk in but won't mind they're ruined when you realize you are at best case scenario walking through pee.

What can I do with my luggage if its before or after check in and check out times?

Let me know if that is the case, we have early check in and late check out options as well as luggage hold available to us.

How much should I plan to spend?

That is up to you! NOLA can be as expensive or affordable as you want. Average daily spend is around $150-200 a day depending on activities and food. Thursday's dinner and Friday's breakfast are covered by us. To help you plan, budget around $100 per person for our Friday night dinner and activity, $40-60 per person at brunch on Saturday, and $120-140 per person for dinner on Saturday (those include tax and tip and there are minimums we have to meet so eat and drink up!) If you want to look at the menus of the places we will be visiting to get a more accurate estimate they are in the "Menus" section of this site.

How can I see the menus of where we are eating?

All menus are listed in the menu tab of this website

What is there to do in New Orleans?

You mean outside of the all day bender? Just kidding! NOLA is a great destination, there are tons of tours, museums, shops and of course great restaurants to visit. Check out some recommendations in the "Let's Explore" section.
